Just purchased my first "proper" camera- a Fujifilm bridge :)  So this will be my.... 6th camera in less than five years?! It'll be different this time though, no scratched lenses or letting it slip off my shoulders at a party in Ibiza never to be seen again! Can't wait to play around with it and become au fait with all the camera-speak! I hope to be taking lots of really cool, like- OMG amazing pictures very soon, like this one my flat mate took this evening during our World Aids Day bakesale prep! These peppermint creams were not "quick and easy to make", nor do they taste very minty!  They do look rather pretty however, and it's all about what's on the outside right?

Ta- Dah!!

So this is just a little taster of a photo shoot I did the other week for our campus magazine. It was the first shoot I've styled myself and starred in ( first time in front of the camera- hence all my versatile model moves- NOT!) I worked with the lovely and talented Zoe McArthur who took the photos and it was great aul craic! I've been shopping religiously in the local charity shops so this was really just an excuse to wear some of my favourite pieces- happy days! So...watch this space for the actual magazine spread, all to be issued and printed by this Thursday. I'm really really excited to see what the first issue looks like and in the famous words of that big purple dinosaur we all love to hate, it'll be "SUPER DEEE DUPER!".

Eats Everything and leaves ears happy

Thought I'd stick on a Radio1 podcast last night while I was getting ready for work and much to my "dismay" I had to give Annie Mac's a miss-Florence and the Machine were sitting in for her( sorry to any die-hards!) I took a chance on the Essential mix and my oh my were my ears very grateful I did! Eats Everything absolutely kills it on his mix- sexsssual bass-tastic house! There's nothing better than chancing across tunes you've love but don't know their name or how to find them! I will definitely be doing my homework on this Bristol boy :)

If my head wasn't screwed on...

Dizzy...scatterbrains...tit head...blah blah blah, yep that's me! I'm  going to lay the blame for my forgetfulness at my mothers feet . To be fair though I'm not as bad as I used to be, forgetting your flat keys isn't the end of the world and leaving a packed lunch at home is the perfect excuse for buying a curry from the canteen. Forgetting vital items of clothing to wear into uni however can leave you in a potentially disastrous situation! How on earth could you forget your bra, your underwear, your tights?! Well, for me it's by packing your gym bag at 6.30am, half asleep , stumbling around your room while also trying to knock back a cup of coffee. Not only have I previously left my make-up bag and tights at home, but last week I forgot my shoes! How cool did I look walking around campus fully dressed in normal clothes..teamed artfully with a hunking pair of old trainers? Thankfully with a speedy text, the day was saved by my flat mate cycling in to uni with my brogues in her back pack, bless!
And so, it is with this dizzy minded sentiment that I christen this blog with my first post!
